Job summary

Sodexo is seeking an organised and customer-focused Assistant Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day delivery of workplace services at our Liverpool office. This role reports to the Facilities Services Manager in Manchester and starts in October 2026.

You will manage the on-site Cleaner, coordinate contractors, ensure cleanliness and safety, and support breakfast service while building strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management, workplace services or a similar environment.
• Experience coordinating contractors, suppliers or operational services.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning operations, COSHH and workplace health and safety.
• Strong organisational, communication and customer service skills.
• IOSH Managing Safely or a similar health and safety qualification.
• Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the day-to-day delivery of facilities services across the Liverpool office.
• Act as Sodexo's principal on-site contact for clients, colleagues, contractors and suppliers.
• Manage and support the on-site Cleaner, including work allocation, quality inspections and performance.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and workplace presentation.
• Coordinate the daily complimentary breakfast service, ensuring products are stocked and served to food safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, contractor attendance and service requests.
• Promote health and safety culture and support audits and continuous service improvement.
