Job summary

Sodexo is seeking an organised Assistant Facilities Manager to oversee day‑to‑day workplace services at the Liverpool office. You will manage the Cleaner, coordinate contractors and suppliers, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for colleagues and visitors.

The role reports to the Facilities Services Manager in Manchester with a October 2026 start date and offers Sodexo benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management or workplace services.
• Experience coordinating contractors, suppliers or operational services.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning operations and workplace health and safety.
• Strong organisational, communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the day‑to‑day delivery of facilities services at the Liverpool site.
• Be Sodexo's on‑site contact for clients, colleagues, contractors and suppliers.
• Manage the on‑site Cleaner and support contractors and engineers.
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene and workplace presentation standards.
• Coordinate the daily breakfast service and food safety practices.
• Monitor breakfast stock, ordering and waste.
• Arrange visits from engineers and service providers.
• Build relationships with client stakeholders and handle requests professionally.
• Inspect and report maintenance, health, safety or compliance issues.
• Maintain records of inspections, attendance and incidents.
• Support audits and emergency response planning.
• Manage site expenditure and operational resources.
