Job summary

Sodexo is seeking an organised and customer-focused Assistant Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day delivery of workplace services at our Liverpool office. The role reports to the Facilities Services Manager in Manchester, with responsibilities including managing the on-site Cleaner and coordinating contractors, ensuring health and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management, workplace services or similar environment.
• Experience coordinating contractors, suppliers or operational services.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning operations, COSHH and workplace health and safety.
• Strong organisational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and solve problems effectively.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the day-to-day delivery of facilities services across the Liverpool office.
• Act as Sodexo's principal on-site contact for clients, colleagues, contractors and suppliers.
• Manage and support the on-site Cleaner, including work allocation, quality inspections and performance.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and workplace presentation.
• Coordinate the daily complimentary breakfast service, ensuring products are stocked, presented and maintained to food safety standards.
• Monitor breakfast stock levels, ordering and waste.
• Coordinate visits from mobile engineers, contractors and specialist service providers.
• Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and respond professionally to service requests.
• Carry out workplace inspections and report maintenance, health and safety or compliance issues.
• Maintain accurate records, including inspections, contractor attendance, incidents and service requests.
• Promote a positive health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Support audits, emergency response arrangements and continuous service improvement.
• Manage delegated site expenditure, consumables and operational resources.
