Job summary

Pathfinder West Sussex is seeking a Mental Health Service Manager to lead the lived experience workstream within its Mental Health Support Service across West Sussex. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in co-production, ensuring client voices shape service development and improvement.

The post requires lived experience of mental health challenges and a commitment to equity and inclusion, with the ability to collaborate with multiple partners and staff, including

Qualifications

• Lived experience of mental health challenges and using personal experience to drive service improvements.
• Experience representing client views or facilitating groups (e.g., peer mentoring).
• Experience building relationships with voluntary and statutory partners.
• Knowledge of local agencies providing mental health services.
• Knowledge of co-production involvement and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and expert guidance on co-production across Pathfinder services, including line management of the Lived Experience Lead and partnership work with West Sussex Mind.
• Provide lived experience representation on strategic groups and forums.
• Lead on collecting and analysing client feedback and outcomes, linking with SPFT lived experience groups and the West Sussex LEAG.
• Support the Senior Manager in delivering strategic direction, ensuring service development is informed by lived experience.
