READING BOROUGH COUNCIL's Reading Arts venues are seeking enthusiastic Casual Technicians to support a busy programme of performances and events at The Hexagon, South Street Arts Centre and Reading Concert Hall. This flexible, casual role offers shifts as required to fit events and training will be provided.

As a Casual Technician you will help prepare, operate and dismantle productions, load and unload equipment, and ensure safety and smooth running of performances.

Qualifications

• Interest in theatre, live events or the entertainment industry.
• Hardworking, enthusiastic and willing to learn.
• Able to communicate well and work in a team.
• Willing to undertake manual handling and lift equipment.
• Comfortable working at heights (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Load and unload scenery, staging and technical equipment.
• Assist with event set-ups and get-outs.
• Support maintenance and upkeep of technical equipment.
• Help keep technical areas safe, tidy and secure.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures at all times.
• Work with experienced staff and visiting production teams.
