Job summary

The Churchill Theatre in Bromley is seeking a Casual Theatre Technician to join the technical team. You will operate sound, lighting and AV systems, assist with get-ins and get-outs, and support visiting companies and dressers to ensure smooth performances.

Ensure a safe and productive working environment and that all technical work complies with relevant legislation and guidance.
Support and assist the Full Time Technical Team in achieving high standards of technical delivery, presentation and maintenance.
Maintain cleanliness, organisation and care of all technical spaces, equipment and property.
Operate sound, lighting and AV systems, as well as stage management, during rehearsals and performances as required.
Participate in the set-up and break-down of visiting productions and events as required.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Casual Theatre Technician is a key part of the technical team at The Churchill Theatre, contributing to the successful delivery of all events, performances and building operations. This role supports visiting companies and users of the venue with a proactive, helpful, and solution-focused approach. This job role also extends to dressers.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

To ensure a safe and productive working environment is maintained at all times, and that all technical work complies with relevant legislation and guidance.
To support and assist the Full Time Technical Team in achieving high standards of technical delivery, presentation and maintenance throughout the venue.
To maintain cleanliness, organisation and appropriate care of all technical spaces, equipment and property—ensuring they are treated respectfully by both staff and visiting companies.
To operate sound, lighting and AV systems, as well as stage management, during rehearsals and performances as required.
To participate in the set-up and break-down (get-ins, fit-ups and get-outs) of visiting productions and events when required.
