Job summary

Velvet Law seeks an experienced Litigator to join its in-house legal team on a permanent basis, handling a broad range of property-related disputes in a supportive environment.

The role requires qualified solicitors or barristers in England and Wales with 3-5 years PQE in property litigation, strong advocacy, and the ability to manage cases independently.

• Qualified solicitor or barrister in England and Wales.
• 3-5 years’ PQE with a strong background in property litigation.
• Experience in residential and commercial property disputes.
• Experience in general commercial disputes.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage cases independently.
• Dynamic individual with a highly proactive approach.
• Strong in-person negotiation skills required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of property litigation matters.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, correspondence, and settlement agreements.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 - 5 years’ PQE with a strong background in property litigation
• Property and leasehold experience
• Experience in both residential and commercial property disputes
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage cases independently
• Dynamic individual with a highly proactive approach
• Experience in general commercial disputes
• Strong in person negotiations skills required
