Job summary

Kew Law is seeking an experienced Litigation Partner or Senior Associate Litigation Solicitor to join our Wickford disputes and litigation team. This role offers salaried partnership opportunities and a chance to shape the department’s strategic direction.

The successful candidate will manage a high-quality caseload, mentor junior lawyers and grow client relationships, collaborating with property, private client, family, and commercial teams to drive growth.

Qualifications

Job Description

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced litigator capable of supporting our head of department in developing a substantial practice area.

You will:

• Manage and develop a high-quality litigation caseload
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers within the department
• Contribute to departmental strategy and business planning
• Develop existing client relationships and generate new opportunities
• Work closely with colleagues across property, private client, family and commercial teams
• Support the continued growth and development of the wider litigation offering

The caseload may include:

• Property litigation
• Commercial and contractual disputes
• Professional negligence claims
• Partnership and shareholder disputes
• Landlord and tenant disputes
• Debt recovery
• General civil and commercial litigation
• Mediation and alternative dispute resolution

About You

We are interested in speaking with candidates who:

• Have at least 8 years’ PQE, although applicants with less experience but a strong following will be considered
• Have a proven track record in litigation and dispute resolution
• Are confident managing complex and high-value matters
• Demonstrate strong leadership and supervisory abilities
• Possess excellent client relationship and networking skills
• Have commercial awareness and a growth mindset
• Can contribute to the strategic development of the practice

A following or proven business development track record would be advantageous but is not essential for the right candidate.
