Job summary

Philosophy Education seeks a Graduate Learning Support Assistant with a literacy background to join a large Sixth Form College in Kensington & Chelsea from October 2026 or sooner. You will support students with literacy barriers, deliver targeted interventions and work closely with staff, families and external professionals to ensure inclusive access to the curriculum.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, recording outcomes and contributing to reviews while upholding safeguarding

• Experience supporting students with literacy barriers to learning.
• Ability to deliver targeted literacy interventions.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted literacy support enabling students to access learning and progress.
• Promote inclusion and help students overcome barriers to learning.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, families and external professionals to support individual needs.
• Monitor, evaluate and record student progress to inform intervention plans.
• Foster confidence, independence and resilience through tailored support.
• Contribute to SEND provision by implementing agreed strategies and interventions.
• Champion reading and language development across the academy.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews and wider support planning.
