Job summary

Northallerton School & Sixth Form College is seeking a dedicated Literacy and Numeracy Intervention Co-ordinator to join our Inclusion team on a fixed-term basis until 31 August 2027. You will identify students needing intervention through assessment and data analysis and deliver targeted programmes that improve literacy and numeracy outcomes.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above.
• Experience delivering literacy and/or numeracy interventions.
• Ability to analyse data to identify learner needs.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to inclusion and raising achievement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct literacy and numeracy screening and assessments.
• Identify students requiring additional support and plan targeted interventions.
• Deliver structured literacy and numeracy interventions to individuals and small groups.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress and report outcomes.
• Support teachers to embed effective literacy and numeracy strategies in lessons.
• Act as a Key Worker for identified SEND students.
• Liaise with parents, carers and external agencies where appropriate.
• Support examinations and access arrangements.
• Contribute to literacy and numeracy raising achievement initiatives across the school.
