Job summary

Searchability NS&D in the United Kingdom is seeking a seasoned Linux Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable Linux-based infrastructure across on-premises, virtualised, and cloud environments.

You will automate provisioning with Ansible/Puppet/Chef, manage patching and backups, monitor performance, and contribute to security hardening and incident response while providing 2nd/3rd line support and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux infrastructure experience in large or complex environments.
• Strong Bash and Python scripting skills.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Cloud platform familiarity (AWS/Azure/GCP) and virtualization technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support Linux infrastructure across physical, virtual and cloud environments.
• Automate provisioning and configuration using Ansible, Puppet or Chef.
• Monitor system performance and capacity; manage patches, backups and DR.
• Support deployments, migrations and new software releases; provide 2nd/3rd line support.
• Maintain documentation and infrastructure standards; enforce security best practices.
