Job summary

Datasource Recruitment seeks an Infrastructure Engineer to join a security-focused team working on critical national infrastructure projects. You will contribute to infrastructure design, implementation, and operation across on-prem, cloud and hybrid environments.

The role requires solid Linux and IaC experience, along with hands-on capabilities in Ansible, Puppet or Terraform, and a strong understanding of secure architecture and compliance standards. DV clearance is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Solid infrastructure architecture design for complex IT environments.
• In-depth knowledge of the Linux operating system.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform).
• Strong understanding of network architecture (routing, switching, firewalls, VLANs).
• Experience with data centre infrastructure and systems integration.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving across infrastructure environments.
• Ability to document solutions clearly and work independently on technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver components within infrastructure projects.
• Lead design of high-level architectures for on-prem, cloud and hybrid platforms.
• Get hands-on with system design, configuration, implementation and testing.
• Ensure all solutions meet security requirements and compliance standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers and SMEs.
• Provide third-line support to deployed cloud-based solutions.
• Mentor and coach team members, contributing to knowledge sharing.
