Job summary

Cambridge Consultants is seeking a Linux/Network Engineer to strengthen our IT Infrastructure. You’ll design, implement and support Linux systems and enterprise networks across corporate and secure environments, with opportunities to advance networking capabilities and automation.

You will work with a team of Systems Engineers and collaborate with project teams relying on robust Linux infrastructure. Security vetting and UK passport eligibility are noted for this role.

Qualifications

• Experienced with Linux (Debian/RedHat) in an enterprise environment
• Able to automate desktop deployments and lifecycle management with provisioning tools
• Strong network design, implementation and support for enterprise environments
• Proficient in scripting/programming and automation
• Awareness of secure-by-design and DevOps practices
• Willing to undergo security vetting; UK passport holder preferred

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting Linux OS and applications in an Enterprise environment
• Network design, implementation, maintenance and support
• Support Linux and network infrastructure in secure environments
• Developing scripts to automate system configuration (Infrastructure as code)
• Monitoring logs and proactively addressing issues
• Ensure security standards compliance (Cyber Essentials Plus)
• Support Linux licensing and desktop provisioning
• Keep up-to-date with infrastructure technologies and continuous improvement
