IBM Consulting FutureNow seeks a Linux & Infrastructure Specialist to design, build and support enterprise Linux infrastructure across on-premises, hybrid and cloud environments.

You will automate tasks, harden systems, monitor health and contribute to secure, resilient operations within highly regulated environments. Collaboration with architects, security specialists and client teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Linux Engineering or Systems Administration.
• Strong experience administering Linux OS (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS).
• Experience supporting enterprise server environments (physical, virtual and cloud).
• Knowledge of virtualization tech (VMware, KVM, Hyper‑V).
• Scripting/automation with Bash, Python, PowerShell, Ansible (or similar).
• Understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, firewalls.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, administer and support Linux-based infrastructure platforms.
• Manage enterprise server environments across on‑premise, hybrid and cloud environments.
• Deploy, configure and troubleshoot Linux OSs.
• Support virtualization platforms (VMware, OpenShift Virtualization or similar).
• Automate routine tasks with scripting and infrastructure automation tools.
• Implement system hardening, patching and vulnerability remediation.
