Job summary

IBM Consulting FutureNow in the United Kingdom seeks a Linux & Infrastructure Specialist to design, build, deploy and support enterprise Linux-based platforms across on-premise, hybrid and cloud environments. You will work with VMware, OpenShift, and other virtualization tech while using automation tools to drive reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

Experience administering Linux operating systems such as RHEL, Ubuntu or CentOS.
Experience supporting enterprise server environments across physical, virtual and cloud-hosted infrastructure.
Knowledge of virtualization technologies including VMware, KVM, Hyper-V or similar platforms.
Experience scripting and automating tasks using Bash, Python, PowerShell, Ansible or similar technologies.

Responsibilities

Design, build, administer and support Linux-based infrastructure platforms.
Manage and maintain enterprise server environments across on-premise, hybrid and cloud-hosted infrastructure.
Automate routine operational tasks using scripting and infrastructure automation tools.
Monitor system health, performance and capacity, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
