Job summary

IBM Consulting FutureNow is seeking Linux & Infrastructure Specialists to design, build, support and optimise enterprise Linux-based platforms across on‑premise, hybrid and cloud environments. You'll automate tasks, harden systems and collaborate with architects, security specialists and client teams to deliver resilient infrastructure solutions.

The role emphasises hands‑on engineering, continuous improvement and strong problem‑solving, with exposure to regulated environments and security

Qualifications

• Strong experience administering Linux operating systems (RHEL/Ubuntu/CentOS).
• Experience with virtualisation and cloud-hosted infrastructure.
• Scripting and automation fundamentals using Bash, Python or Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, administer and support Linux-based infrastructure platforms.
• Manage enterprise server environments across on‑premise, hybrid and cloud infrastructure.
• Automate routine tasks and implement system hardening and patching.
• Monitor health, performance and capacity; resolve issues and optimize reliability.
