Job summary

Sapphire Utility Solutions, part of the Lanes Group, seeks a Lining Operative to grow their career in utilities. Based in Leyland, you'll work a 50-hour week (Mon–Fri, 7am–5pm) on-site, with overtime possible and weekend opportunities.

Training provided for traffic management, patching, lining, and related tasks. You should be flexible, able to cover long distances on foot, and eager to progress within the company; a full UK driving license (no more than 6 points) is required, with a pension and

Responsibilities

• Working on the back of cutting unit assisting and learning how to use and maintain the cutting unit.
• Working with patching and lining teams to pick up various repair methods so they can move around the teams and eventually runs a van across all contracts (Training will be provided).
• Setting up traffic management (Training will be provided).
• Confined spaces entry (Training will be provided).
• Risk assessments and updating work packs.
• Overtime and weekend work as needed.

About the role

Sapphire Utility Solutions are seeking a Lining Operative to join the team and to grown and progress their career in the utilities sector working for a growing company.

Location: Leyland

Hours: 50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm.

Salary: Up to £13.50 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities – but not limited to:

• Working on the back of cutting unit assisting and learning how to use and maintain the cutting unit
• Working with patching and lining teams to pick up various repair methods so they can move around the teams and eventually runs a van across all contracts (Training will be provided)
• Setting up traffic management (Training will be provided)
• Confined spaces entry (Training will be provided)
• Risk assessments and updating work packs
• The operative will be expected to be flexible picking up overtime if required and the occasional weekend

Experience and qualifications desirable required for the role:

• To be flexible in their working approach
• To be able to cover long distances by foot
• The desire to progress within the company
• Knowledge of utilities and traffic management (not essential)
• Full UK driving license, with no more than 6 points.
