Job summary

Sapphire Utility Solutions is seeking a Lining Operative to join our growing utilities team in Bradford. The role offers 50 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, with training provided for cutting, patching, lining, traffic management, and confined spaces entries.

You will work across contracts, learn multiple repair methods, and progress within the company. Applicants should be flexible, able to travel short distances, and committed to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Flexible in working approach and willing to work overtime including weekends.
• Ability to work in all weathers and cover long distances by foot.
• Desire to progress within the company; utilities awareness is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and learn to use the cutting unit and maintenance.
• Assist patching and lining teams and move between contracts.
• Set up traffic management (training provided).
• Attend confined spaces entry and safety procedures.
• Assist with risk assessments and update work packs.
• Occasional overtime and weekend work as needed.

Job description

Sapphire Utility Solutions are seeking a Lining Operative to join the team and to grown and progress their career in the utilities sector working for a growing company.

Location: Bradford

Hours: 50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm.

Salary: DOE

Responsibilities – But Not Limited To

• Working on the back of cutting unit assisting and learning how to use and maintain the cutting unit


• Working with patching and lining teams to pick up various repair methods so they can move around the teams and eventually runs a van across all contracts (Training will be provided)


• Setting up traffic management (Training will be provided)


• Confined spaces entry (Training will be provided)


• Risk assessments and updating work packs


• The operative will be expected to be flexible picking up overtime if required and the occasional weekend

Experience And Qualifications Desirable Required For The Role

• To be flexible in their working approach as on occasion may need to work overtime such as at weekends


• Ability to work in all weathers


• To be able to cover long distances by foot


• The desire to progress within the company


• Knowledge of utilities and traffic management (not essential)
