The Hoxton in Holborn is seeking a Linen Porter to join our housekeeping team. You’ll be responsible for cleaning and servicing guest rooms to brand standards, and for the timely delivery and collection of linen and towels.

You'll report maintenance issues, stock supplies, and support the team while upholding health and safety rules. We offer a competitive salary and a range of staff benefits designed to support wellbeing and career growth.

Responsabilités

• Clean and service guest rooms to brand standards.
• Report maintenance defects in guest rooms and on guest floors via KnowCross.
• Ensure guest rooms adhere to brand standards and quality audits.
• Oversee delivery and collection of linen and towels daily.
• Stock linen and housekeeping supplies on floors and in stores.
• Keep guest floors clean and maintained at all times.
• Assist with other tasks to support the housekeeping team.
• Ensure Health and Safety standards are followed and report breaches to Head Housekeeper.
• Handle cleaning materials correctly and know COSHH regulations.
• Attend all required trainings.
• Maintain a positive and friendly attitude at all times.
• Provide high levels of customer care and responsive service.

Company Description

We are looking for a Linen Porter to join us at The Hoxton, Holborn.

Holborn was the second Hox to join the fam, taking over a Grade II-listed building that was once the factory of George Kent, a famed maker of gadgets and instruments (among them a knife sharpener/cleaner now sitting in the Science Museum, no less). After Kent, BT moved in, and now this former telephone exchange is home to 220 bedrooms (expanding from the original 174) and the Apartment, plus our foodie hotspot Rondo, all a stone’s throw from the capital’s most famous shopping and entertainment districts.

Job Description

What you'll do...

• To be responsible for the cleaning and servicing of guest rooms, ensuring that these are always cleaned to brand standards, and are well presented and maintained.
• To be responsible for reporting any maintenance defects in guest rooms and on guest floors through KnowCross.
• To ensure that all guest rooms adhere to all brand standards and quality audit standards.
• To oversee the delivery and collection of linen and terry on a daily basis.
• To be responsible for the stocking of linen and housekeeping supplies on guest floors and in stores, and to ensure that these storage areas are clean and well maintained.
• To ensure guest floors are clean and well maintained at all times.
• To assist with other tasks to support the housekeeping team as required.
• To ensure that all Health and Safety standards are adhered to and any breaches in standards are reported to the Head Housekeeper.
• To ensure all cleaning materials are handled correctly and to be fully aware of COSHH regulations.
• To attend all training sessions required.
• To maintain a positive and friendly attitude at all times, even when working to find solutions to challenges.
• To provide the highest level of customer care, and to provide a friendly, helpful and responsive level of service for our guests.
