Job summary

Verdant Parks is seeking Line Chefs/Cooks to prepare meals from our seasonal menu and boards, supporting the Head/Sous-C Chef to keep kitchen stations ready for service. You will ensure stations are stocked and cleaned during shifts, contributing to high-quality, well-presented dishes for guests.

We welcome applicants with a can-do attitude who are willing to learn, even if you have limited professional kitchen experience.

Qualifications

• Good basic knowledge of food preparation and presentation.
• Previous experience in a professional kitchen is preferred; college or home cooking experience is advantageous.
• Willing to learn and able to take on new tasks with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef and/or Sous-Chef to prepare kitchen stations for service.
• Ensure stations are stocked, prepared and cleaned regularly throughout the shift.
• Support overall kitchen operations to deliver high-quality, well-presented dishes.

Job description

Our Line Chefs prepare meals and snacks throughout the day, consistently delivering well-presented, high-quality, and flavourful dishes from our seasonal menu and special boards. They assist our Head Chef and/or Sous-Chef to prepare the kitchen stations ready for service, ensuring they are stocked appropriately and cleaned regularly throughout the shift. This role is essential in guaranteeing quality food service our guests anticipate, providing them with another option to self-catering and allowing them to spend more precious time with family and friends.

You will need a good basic knowledge of food preparation and presentation. Previous experience is a professional kitchen is preferred, however experience from college or cooking at home would also be advantageous. Not got experience but still interested?
