Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Portfolio Manager to deliver a £13m annual programme of lighting asset replacement on the M25. You will lead a matrix team of PMs, oversee ~60 projects annually, and ensure safe, efficient handover from design to construction.

The role requires PMP or AMP PMQ certification, NEC3/NEC4 know-how, and strong stakeholder management. Experience delivering large-scale highway projects, excellent communication, and a proactive safety leadership mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a relevant field.
• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification (e.g., AMP PMQ).
• Strong leadership and matrix-organisation management experience.
• Good working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 Contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of a £13m annual programme across the M25 with ~60 projects per year.
• Oversee a team of Project Managers and ensure safe, cost-effective delivery.
• Manage governance, forecasting, and monthly reporting with stakeholders.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and ensure regulatory compliance.
