Job summary

Hitachi Rail GTS UK Limited is seeking an experienced Engineering Delivery Manager to lead engineering across its Light Rail portfolio in the UK. The role combines technical leadership with stakeholder engagement across multi-project programs and international teams.

You will oversee delivery from initiation to completion, drive quality in software and hardware, and mentor engineering teams while coordinating with customers to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in systems engineering management within rail or infrastructure projects.
• Experience scaling a portfolio of projects to match business needs.
• Breadth across engineering disciplines with strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from initiation to completion within time, scope and budget.
• Oversee engineering scope in bids and business development activities.
• Develop engineering approach across UK light rail portfolio for consistency and efficiency.
• Ensure high-quality standards in software and hardware development.
• Coordinate with international teams and customers for governance and delivery.
• Support portfolio meetings with technical input for schedule updates.
• Maintain PBS, WBS/OBS documentation and oversee deliverables.
