Derby City Council’s Fleet Services team is seeking an LCV Technician to maintain a varied fleet of light commercial vehicles across the City. You’ll service, repair and diagnose vehicles, with the opportunity to develop towards an HGV Technician through fully funded training.

You’ll work on a diverse fleet including car-derived vans, light commercial vehicles and pathway sweepers - so no two days are the same.
If you are interested in broadening your skills, we will fully fund your development to become an HGV Technician, including training for your HGV Category C driving licence. You will also have access to approved manufacture and specialist vehicle training.

As an LCV Technician, you’ll join a friendly, professional and highly skilled workshop team responsible for maintaining a varied fleet of light commercial vehicles and associated equipment.

To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have:
Experience working on tippers, tail lifts, hydraulic systems or specialist fleet equipment would be advantageous but isn’t essential, as training can be provided.
