Job summary

WH Scott Group in Bristol is seeking a highly organised Lifting Gear & Warehouse/Workshop Controller to manage and coordinate lifting equipment and stock. You will ensure equipment is inspected, certified, and maintained to high safety standards while supporting operations and customers.

The role requires strong admin and liaison skills, experience in warehouse operations, and proficiency with MS Office and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage loose lifting gear warehouse stock and control.
• Oversee goods-in and goods-out processes for lifting equipment.
• Maintain accurate stock records and inventory levels.
• Coordinate storage and distribution of lifting equipment.
• Verify and certify lifting equipment in accordance with relevant standards.
• Coordinate internal and external inspections of lifting equipment.
• Liaise with third-party inspectors and inspection bodies.
• Maintain inspection, testing and certification records.
• Carry out inspection, maintenance, testing and assembly of lifting equipment.
• Identify equipment requiring repair or further inspection.
• Manage lifting equipment administration and documentation.
• Coordinate service and supply activities.
• Liaise with suppliers, vendors and customers regarding lifting equipment requirements.
• Process sales orders and purchase orders for lifting equipment.
• Perform QA/QC checks on lifting products and ensure compliance with procedures and safety requirements.
