Job summary

Siamo Recruitment are working with a client in Highbridge seeking a Warehouse Operative / Stock Controller. The role combines hands-on warehouse work with stock control, requiring Sage 50 and a Reach Truck licence.

You will manage stock records, perform stock checks and process orders, while supporting goods-in/out activities in a safe environment. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years' warehouse experience, strong Sage 50 skills, and a valid Reach Truck licence.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience in a warehouse, stock control or senior warehouse operative role.
• Strong, practical experience using Sage 50, particularly for stock control, inventory or order processing.
• A valid and recognised Reach Truck licence such as RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate stock records through Sage 50, including goods received, dispatches, adjustments and damaged stock.
• Carrying out regular stock checks and investigating discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
• Processing purchase orders, pick lists and delivery documentation.
• Investigating stock variances, incorrect locations and delivery discrepancies.
• Safely operating a Reach Truck to put away and retrieve palletised stock from high-level racking.
• Supporting goods-in and goods-out activities, including unloading deliveries and checking goods against paperwork.
• Replenishing stock to picking locations and ensuring inventory is available where it is needed.
• Picking, packing and labelling orders when required.
• Completing daily forklift checks and maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Working in line with all company health and safety procedures.

Warehouse Operative / Stock Controller

Reach Truck & Sage 50 Experience Required

£12.71 per hour | £15.49 per hour once transferred across to the client after a successful 12 working week temp to perm| Monday-Thursday

Our client based in Highbridge are seeking an experienced warehouse professional, looking for a varied role that combines hands-on warehouse work with stock control.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous warehouse experience who is confident using Sage 50 and holds a valid Reach Truck licence.

You'll play a key role in keeping stock accurate, organised and moving efficiently throughout the warehouse, while also supporting the wider team with day-to-day operations.

£12.71 per hour to start, rising to£15.49 per hour once successfully taken on by the client

• Monday-Thursday, 7:30am-5:00pm
• 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day alongside two 15 minute paid breaks
• Occasional Friday overtime available
• First 4 hours of overtime in a week paid atstandard rate, any additional overtime after the first 4 hours paid at 1.5x rate

• The ability to carry out manual warehouse duties and work at height.
• Excellent attention to detail when dealing with stock and system information.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
