Lloyds British, part of the Speedy Group, is seeking a Lifting Inspection Engineer to join our nationwide team. You will carry out inspections, tests and thorough examinations of lifting gear, ensuring compliance with LOLER and related safety standards while maintaining detailed inspection records.

We offer training and development including manufacturer courses and LEEA qualifications, with opportunities to progress within a leading UK lifting equipment service provider.

Qualifications

• Experience in lifting equipment industry or mechanical engineering environment.
• LEEA qualifications or willingness to work towards them.
• NVQ or City & Guilds in Engineering or Mechanics (desirable).
• Experience in testing or inspection environments.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on problem solving.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
• Strong communication and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsabilités

• Carrying out inspections and thorough examinations of lifting equipment and accessories.
• Undertaking load testing, pull testing and occasional destructive testing.
• Inspecting lifting accessories such as chains, slings, shackles and associated equipment.
• Supporting the day-to-day operation and management of the rigging loft.
• Identifying defects and ensuring equipment meets the required safety standards.
• Producing accurate inspection reports and maintaining relevant documentation.
• Working closely with colleagues and customers to deliver a high-quality, professional service.
• Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety requirements and company procedures.
• Supporting your business unit and team in delivering our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
