Lloyds British in Plymouth is seeking a Lifting Inspection Engineer to join our hands-on engineering team. You will inspect, test and certify lifting equipment, ensuring safety, compliance and readiness for use.

The role offers 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with training opportunities through LEEA courses and manufacturer training, plus a clear path for career development within the Speedy Group.

Qualifications

• Experience in lifting equipment inspection, testing or a similar engineering environment.
• LEEA qualifications or experience desirable
• Engineering or mechanical qualification such as NVQ or City & Guilds desirable
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Clear and professional communication of technical information
• Customer-focused and willing to learn
• Full UK driving licence

Responsabilités

• Carry out inspections and examinations of lifting equipment and accessories
• Complete load testing and pull testing
• Undertake occasional destructive testing where required
• Inspect lifting accessories and associated equipment
• Support activities within the rigging loft
• Identify defects and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Produce inspection documentation and reports
• Provide professional and responsive service to customers
• Work safely in accordance with Lloyds British procedures
• Develop technical knowledge through ongoing training
