Job summary

Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lift Technician / Technical Support Engineer to provide advanced technical support across service operations in the Liverpool area. The role focuses on complex fault-finding, repairs and on-site support for engineers to ensure lift equipment remains safe, reliable and compliant.

Qualifications

• Advanced mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience resolving complex or recurring lift faults.
• Confident interpreting wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
• Good knowledge of lift regulations and health & safety.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical faults.
• Provide technical support to service, repair and installation engineers.
• Attend difficult breakdowns and recurring faults requiring specialist expertise.
• Carry out repairs, adjustments and component replacements.
• Test equipment following repairs and confirm safe return to service.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and manufacturers' docs.
• Identify defective components and recommend repairs or replacement.
• Provide technical guidance and on-site support to engineers.
• Complete job sheets, technical reports and customer documentation.
• Liaise with customers, site contacts and engineering teams.
• Ensure compliance with lift regulations and health & safety.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience as a Lift Technician, Senior Lift Engineer or Technical Support Engineer.
• NVQ Level 4 in Lift Engineering or equivalent.
• Advanced mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience resolving complex or recurring lift faults.
• Knowledge of passenger and goods lifts from multiple manufacturers.
• Experience within the UK lift and escalator industry.
• Confident interpreting wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
• Good knowledge of lift regulations and health & safety.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work independently.
• Professional communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
