Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lift Technician to join an established independent lift company based in Essex and covering London.

The successful candidate will diagnose complex mechanical and electrical faults, complete technical repairs and support engineers in the field, ensuring lift equipment remains safe, reliable and compliant.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 4 Lift Engineering or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Read wiring diagrams and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex faults on passenger and goods lifts.
• Provide technical support to service/repair engineers across London.
• Attend breakdowns and repeat faults requiring specialist expertise.
• Complete repairs, adjustments and component replacements.
• Test lifts after repairs and ensure safe return to service.
• Maintain clear job sheets and customer documentation.

Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lift Technician to join an established independent lift company based in Essex and covering London.

The successful candidate will provide advanced technical support across the company's service portfolio, diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical faults, completing technical repairs and supporting engineers in the field.

This position requires an experienced, NVQ Level 4-qualified Lift Technician who can work independently and ensure lift equipment remains safe, reliable and compliant.

The Lift Technician Role

• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical faults on passenger and goods lifts.


• Provide advanced technical support to service and repair engineers across London.


• Attend problematic breakdowns and repeat faults requiring specialist expertise.


• Complete technical repairs, adjustments and component replacements.


• Test lift equipment following repairs and confirm that units are safe to return to service.


• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings and manufacturers' documentation.


• Identify components requiring repair or replacement and provide accurate recommendations.


• Support the development of engineers through technical guidance and on-site assistance.


• Maintain clear job sheets, technical reports and customer documentation.


• Liaise professionally with customers, site contacts and the wider engineering team.


• Ensure all work complies with relevant lift regulations and health and safety requirements.


• Travel throughout London and surrounding areas as required.

Ideal Lift Technician Candidate

• Strong experience working as a Lift Technician or senior Lift Engineer.


• NVQ Level 4 in Lift Engineering or an equivalent qualification.


• Advanced mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.


• Experience diagnosing and resolving complex or recurring lift faults.


• Strong knowledge of passenger and goods lift equipment from a range of manufacturers.


• Confident reading wiring diagrams, technical drawings and lift documentation.


• Good knowledge of lift regulations and health and safety requirements.


• Reliable, safety-conscious and capable of working independently.


• Professional approach when supporting engineers and communicating with customers.


• Full UK driving licence.
