Job summary

Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lift Installation Engineer to join an established lift and escalator company serving Liverpool and the wider North West. You will install and commission new lift equipment, ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

Travel to projects across the North West is required. The role involves reading technical drawings, wiring diagrams and installation specifications, with two salary structures available to choose between a higher fixed salary

Qualifications

• Strong experience installing passenger and goods lifts.
• NVQ Level 3 in Lift Installation or equivalent.
• Confident reading technical drawings, wiring diagrams and installation specifications.
• Good knowledge of lift regulations, health and safety requirements and industry standards.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a project team.
• Safety-conscious, reliable and committed to producing high-quality work.
• Willingness to travel when projects require.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install new passenger and goods lift equipment.
• Complete mechanical and electrical installation work to a high standard.
• Read and work accurately from technical drawings, wiring diagrams and installation specifications.
• Carry out testing, adjustments and commissioning support before handover.
• Identify and resolve electrical and mechanical installation issues.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant lift regulations, safety standards and company procedures.
• Liaise with project managers, site teams, subcontractors and other engineers.
• Complete installation records, site documentation and progress reports accurately.
• Maintain excellent standards of workmanship, organisation and site safety.
• Travel to installation projects throughout the North West and occasionally beyond.

Salary Options:

• £70,000-£75,000, depending on experience, for staff engineers with no additional travel or overtime payments; or
• £55,000 basic salary, plus travel and overtime payments.

Commutable from: Liverpool, Warrington, Widnes, Runcorn, Chester, Southport, Northwich, Crewe, Macclesfield, Bolton, Manchester, Stockport, and surrounding areas.
