Job summary

A Technical Support Officer - Lifts is required by Adecco Group UK & Ireland on behalf of a housing authority in Newham. The role focuses on ensuring safety, compliance and effective lift services within the council’s housing portfolio. Rate: £27.81 PAYE, initially 3 months.

You will coordinate lift servicing, inspections and maintenance, support residents, and work with contractors to deliver high-quality service while maintaining rigorous compliance and documentation.

Qualifications

• A-Level education or equivalent in housing, admin, or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of admin processes and compliance management.
• Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Experience in housing or property services is essential.
• Experience providing admin support within housing, compliance, repairs, maintenance or property services.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational support to the Communal Lift Service.
• Coordinate lift servicing, inspections, and maintenance across the housing portfolio.
• Monitor compliance activities to ensure timely statutory inspections.
• Engage with lift contractors to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Act as contact for residents regarding lift inquiries and customer service.
