Job summary

Holgates Silverdale Holiday Park invites applications for a Lifeguard/Leisure Club Assistant to join the 5-star flagship leisure facility. The role includes shifts ranging from 12 to 32 hours weekly, with evenings, weekends and school holidays required.

Salary starts from £11.47 per hour. Reporting to the Leisure Club Manager, you will ensure guest safety, carry out water quality testing, and help maintain high facility standards across pool and spa areas.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard qualifications required to supervise pool/leisure facilities.
• Ability to perform lifesaving first aid when needed.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in a small team.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and secure environment for guests using the leisure facilities.
• Ensure guests follow pool and club rules to stay safe.
• Assist swimmers in difficulty on rare occasions and provide Lifesaving First Aid.
• Provide first aid cover to park users as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and present the leisure club to a high standard.
• Test water quality regularly in the pool and spa.
• Participate in maintenance and cleaning regimes as directed.

Holgate Silverdale Holiday Park is located on the Lancashire/ Cumbria border between Carnforth and Milnthorpe and provides an idyllic location whilst still being close to major transport links, as well as the towns and cities of Lancaster, Kendal and the Lake District.

Holgate Silverdale Holiday Park is located on the Lancashire/ Cumbria border between Carnforth and Milnthorpe and provides an idyllic location whilst still being close to major transport links, as also the towns and cities of Lancaster, Kendal and the Lake District.

The park offers a mix of touring caravan pitches, privately owned holiday homes, pods and hire static caravans. We have a number of holiday cottages in close proximity to the park also.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for Lifeguards to work at our 5 star flagship park within the leisure Club.

What hours will I work:

A verity of roles from 12 hours to 32 hours a week available and include evenings, weekends and school holidays

North Lancashire, south Cumbria region

Main Responsibilities

Qualifications / Experience:

• Provide a safe and secure environment for all guests whilst using our leisure facilities
• Making sure that guests stay safe by following our leisure club rules
• On very rare occasions, you may assist swimmers in difficulty or even perform lifesaving first aid
• Provide first aid cover to all park users
• Take pride in maintaining a clean, efficient, and friendly working environment
• Perform regular testing of the water quality of the pool and spa
• Ensure the leisure club is presented and managed to the highest standard at all times - maintaining the exceptionally high standards of cleanliness. You will also assist in maintenance and the weekly, as well as monthly cleaning regime

Essential

• A pool lifeguard qualification such NPLQ or equivalent essential.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in a small team
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends.

Desirable

• Previous experience in the same role.
