Job summary

Holgate Silverdale Holiday Park in North Lancashire, near the Lake District, is seeking a Lifeguard/Leisure Club Assistant to join our Leisure Club team. You will help ensure guest safety, monitor pool and spa areas, and provide first aid when needed as part of a busy, friendly facility.

Roles vary from 12 to 32 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and school holidays. We offer a supportive team, uniform provided, and staff perks such as gym access and staff discounts on breaks at our

• A pool lifeguard qualification such as NPLQ or equivalent is essential.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in a small team.
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and secure environment for all guests whilst using our leisure facilities.
• Ensure guests stay safe by following leisure club rules.
• Assist swimmers in difficulty or provide lifesaving first aid on rare occasions.
• Provide first aid cover to all park users.
• Maintain a clean, efficient, and friendly working environment.
• Regularly test the water quality of the pool and spa.
• Keep the leisure club presented to the highest standards and assist in cleaning regime.

Lifeguard/Leisure Club Assistant

Holgate Silverdale Holiday Park is located on the Lancashire/ Cumbria border between Carnforth and Milnthorpe and provides an idyllic location whilst still being close to major transport links, as well as the towns and cities of Lancaster, Kendal and the Lake District.

The park offers a mix of touring caravan pitches, privately owned holiday homes, pods and hire static caravans. We have a number of holiday cottages in close proximity to the park also.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for Lifeguards to work at our 5 star flagship park within the leisure Club.

What hours will I work

A verity of roles from 12 hours to 32 hours a week available and include evenings, weekends and school holidays

Who will you report to

Leisure Club Manager

Main Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and secure environment for all guests whilst using our leisure facilities
• Making sure that guests stay safe by following our leisure club rules
• On very rare occasions, you may assist swimmers in difficulty or even perform lifesaving first aid
• Provide first aid cover to all park users
• Take pride in maintaining a clean, efficient, and friendly working environment
• Perform regular testing of the water quality of the pool and spa
• Ensure the leisure club is presented and managed to the highest standard at all times - maintaining the exceptionally high standards of cleanliness. You will also assist in maintenance and the weekly, as well as monthly cleaning regime

Essential

• A pool lifeguard qualification such NPLQ or equivalent essential.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in a small team
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends.

Desirable

• Previous experience in the same role.
