Job summary

Capita Fire Service College seeks a Leisure Attendant to assist the Sports Centre Manager in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming centre. You will protect customers, perform lifeguarding duties, and support membership administration and reception tasks.

The role requires RLSS NPLQ qualification (or current training), DBS clearance, and swimming proficiency, with weekend shifts and potential centre-wide responsibilities.

Qualifications

• RLSS NPLQ qualification or in progress.
• DBS clearance required (advanced DBS preferred).
• Competent swimmer with safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Sports Centre Manager to deliver excellent customer service and a quality experience.
• Carry out lifeguarding duties in line with standards and report issues as needed.
• Support reception, membership administration and customer queries.
• Work shifts including weekends to ensure centre is operational.
• Open/close the centre and supervise staff on shift to maintain safety.
