Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc is seeking a Lifecycle Engineer to work within the Platform Engineering Team (PET) on maintenance requirement investigations and optimisation for the SDA and MoD context. The role focuses on root-cause analysis, life-cycle cost efficiency, and reliability improvements through data-driven methods.

Hybrid working is offered, with attendance required at the Bristol/Cardiff locations. The ideal candidate has a numerical/engineering degree, experience with complex, ambiguous tasks,

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Experience solving complex, ambiguous problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical investigations to identify root causes of maintenance issues.
• Lead and document lifecycle investigations for optimisation opportunities.
• Predict safety and reliability performance using failure data and statistical techniques.
• Identify lifecycle cost improvement opportunities and maintain related documentation.
• Manage issues affecting maturity, lifecycle cost, reliability and maintainability.
• Deliver lifecycle data and models for through-life performance analysis.
• Prepare technical communications for stakeholders and regulators.
• Contribute to Health Monitoring system requirements and integration.
