Job summary

Rolls-Royce Corporation is seeking a Lifecycle Engineer for the UK Platform Engineering Team. The role involves conducting maintenance requirement investigations, modelling through-life performance, and delivering optimisation recommendations in collaboration with MoD partners.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. Hybrid working arrangements apply, with three days in the office per week on average for collaboration and reviews.

Qualifications

• Experience with UK Submarines Enterprise or MoD partnerships is preferred.
• Familiarity with safety case development and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to investigate complex, ambiguous problems.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams including suppliers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to resolve queries and operational arisings.
• Lead investigations to identify root causes and predict safety/reliability performance using statistical methods.
• Identify and drive cost reduction by reviewing lifecycle policies and maintenance docs.
• Manage issues affecting Maturity, Lifecycle Cost, Reliability and Maintainability and maintain Design Intent.
• Deliver lifecycle data and model through-life performance for optimisation opportunities.
• Prepare technical communications for platform provider, regulators, customers, and stakeholders.
• Lead Health Monitoring system requirements and assess new capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements; act as Technical Authority where delegated.
• Capture in-service data and drive continuous improvement feeding back to future programmes.
