Job summary

TipTopJob in the West Midlands is seeking a Sales Executive to grow an assigned portfolio, focusing on C and D accounts. You will primarily contact customers by telephone to understand needs, qualify opportunities and drive revenue growth.

Reactivate lapsed customers, generate new opportunities and arrange qualified appointments for field-based Sales Executives, while maintaining CRM records and collaborating with Sales, Marketing and Customer Service teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in a life sciences discipline is essential.
• Confident and comfortable communicating with customers by telephone.
• Proactive, enthusiastic and commercially minded.
• Strong communication skills, with the confidence to initiate conversations and build relationships.
• Comfortable working towards sales targets and KPIs.
• Well organised with the ability to manage multiple customers and follow-up actions.
• Experience in sales or telesales would be advantageous.
• Experience in laboratories, academia, biotechnology or life science organisations would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of C and D accounts to targets.
• Proactively contact customers by telephone to understand needs and identify opportunities.
• Review customer data to identify cross-sell and repeat business opportunities.
• Reactivate inactive customers through outbound calls and follow-up.
• Research and contact prospective customers to generate and qualify new business opportunities.
• Qualify inbound and outbound leads and pass opportunities to the sales team when appropriate.
• Arrange qualified customer appointments for field-based Sales Executives.
• Prepare and follow up quotations in line with company processes.
• Review tender notifications and forward suitable opportunities to UK Head of Sales.
• Maintain accurate CRM records of interactions, opportunities and quotations.
• Work with Sales, Marketing and Customer Service to support customers and achieve objectives.
