Job summary

4Recruitment Services Ltd is recruiting an experienced Licensing Officer to join the Public Realm team. The role is based in Welwyn Hatfield, Hertfordshire, with hybrid working of about 2–3 days per week in the office.

You will handle licensing duties, ensure compliance with the Licensing Act, and support environmental protection enforcement. The contract runs for 12 weeks, with 37 hours per week and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Relevant Licensing qualification.
• Strong knowledge of licensing law, guidance, policies and procedures, particularly Taxi Licensing and the Licensing Act.
• Thorough understanding of legislation, guidance and legal processes relating to environmental protection within a Local Authority setting.
• Knowledge of how Licensing interacts with other Local Authority services.
• Good understanding of enforcement procedures, legislation and guidance, including PACE.
• Excellent record-keeping and administrative skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.

Rate: £27.14 - £28.29 per hour

The role is based in Welwyn Hatfield, Hertfordshire, with hybrid working of approximately 2-3 days per week in the office. Training will be office-based, with exact arrangements confirmed by the manager.
