Job Description:

Join the Audi F1 Project - Shape the Future of Motorsport!

Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.

Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.

The new team has three locations: Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany), Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland), and the Sauber Motorsport Technical Center in the UK, which will be operational this year. Our Power Unit is from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for chassis development and race operations.

What you need? The mindset of an athlete. If giving up isn’t an option for you and limits are just challenges to overcome, you can bring Vorsprung durch Technik to Formula 1 with us. Become part of this unique project and make motorsport history.

This position for the Audi F1 Project is based at Sauber in Hinwil, Switzerland.

Your mission

This is a bold and ambitious project focused on building a world-class merchandising, licensing, and retail business. In this fast-paced, start-up environment, we are seeking a Licensing & Merchandising Specialist who can combine strategic vision with hands-on execution. The primary focus will be developing and managing our licensing business, working closely with licensees and partners. Additionally, the role will support merchandising activities. The ideal candidate must be adaptable, proactive, and comfortable switching between strategic planning and operational execution.

  • Support the development and implementation of a licensing strategy aligned with the Audi F1 Project’s brand and commercial objectives.
  • Manage and oversee the end-to-end licensing process for branded products, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance with brand guidelines, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with brand and marketing teams to create compelling product offerings aligned with the brand’s vision.
  • Support negotiations and execution of licensing agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for the brand and licensees.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and potential licensees and partners to drive brand growth.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of licensed products, providing data-driven insights to optimize sales strategies.
  • Manage merchandising back-office activities, including processing internal orders and coordinating with Logistics to ensure timely product delivery.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new licensing opportunities and stay ahead of the curve.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in management, marketing, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of proven experience in licensing management, preferably within the sports industry or for a sports brand/club.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with experience managing key partners and stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of licensing agreements, intellectual property rights, and contract law.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Passion for sports, with a strong understanding of consumer behavior and trends within the sports merchandise market.
  • Proficiency in English; German language skills are an advantage.
