Rutland County Council’s libraries team is seeking a Stock & Reader Development Officer to shape what customers discover on our shelves across four libraries. You will lead stock development, run reader-focused activities, and work with staff to maintain high presentation standards.

The role requires library experience or qualifications, a proactive approach, and the ability to manage data-driven decisions.

Competenze

• Experience with library stock, collections or bibliographic services.
• Organised and proactive with ability to coordinate work and priorities.
• Confident using computerised systems and maintaining records.

Mansioni

• Oversee day-to-day management, development and presentation of library stock across Rutland's four libraries.
• Use stock data to identify trends and respond to customer needs for better collections.
• Develop and coordinate reader development activities and promotions.
• Provide guidance to frontline colleagues on stock management and presentation.
• Line manage the Stock & Bibliographic Services Practitioner and support wider projects.
