Job summary

Rutland County Council is seeking a Stock & Bibliographic Services Practitioner for its four libraries. You will edit, maintain and catalogue stock, manage reservations and lead the Inter‑Library Loan service, while assisting with reader development and library projects.

Working under the Stock & Reader Development Officer, you will support stock presentation, routine bibliographic tasks and wider service improvements through practical, behind‑the‑scenes work.

Qualifications

• Stock editing and maintenance, updating stock records and basic cataloguing.
• Monitoring reservations and leading Inter-Library Loan administration.
• Organising and presenting stock and collections; supporting reader development.

Responsibilities

• Undertake stock editing, maintenance and processing.
• Monitor stock reservations and coordinate Inter-Library Loan tasks.
