The University of Derby is seeking a part-time User Experience Assistant for its Library. Based primarily on site, you will deliver operational activity, provide first-line library support, and help maintain a welcoming, accessible environment across library spaces.

You will support induction activities, assist with stock re-shelving, and promote library resources while collaborating with colleagues to improve user experiences. A level 3 qualification or equivalent experience is expected.

• Experience of delivering user‑focussed services with an emphasis on continuous quality improvement
• Experience of delivering information, advice and guidance
• Experience of building positive relationships and working productively in collaboration with a wide range of colleagues

Responsabilités

• Deliver operational support for library spaces and user experience, delivering against operational plans
• Provide general enquiry service, offering initial advice on finding and navigating resources
• Maintain a welcoming, safe and accessible environment
• Deliver circulation support across allocated sites
• Build positive and effective relationships with colleagues across the Library
• Capture data and feedback in respect of library spaces and user experience
• Assist in induction activities, including introductory tours of the library
• Regularly support stock arrangement and tidying of library spaces
• Promote library resources and wear university-branded clothing
• Promote inclusion and participate in working groups across the Library and wider University
• Undertake continuous personal and professional development in support of the role
• Be flexible with working pattern and in working at different University sites
