Job summary

GET Staff is seeking a General Haulage HGV Class 1 (LGV1, Cat C+E) Double Deck Night Trunk Driver for Southampton. Operate HGV1 trucks across the UK, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with WTD and safety policies.

Candidates must hold a valid HGV1/C+E licence with double deck experience, DP World and tachograph cards, and a clean licence (≤6 points). Night shifts start in the early evening, with immediate start available and potential temp-to-perm progression.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• One year minimum experience driving HGV1, with double deck vehicles.
• Digital Tachograph card and DP World card required.
• No more than 6 points on license.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 articulated vehicles for general haulage across the UK.
• Ensure paperwork and electronic records are up to date.
• Maintain records of breaks and working hours in line with WTD regulations.
• Comply with agency and client policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Take responsibility for the quality of work and maintain professionalism.
• Communicate effectively with customers, clients, and operations teams to ensure smooth deliveries and collections.

• Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and within required timeframes.

Skills and Experience Required- General Haulage HGV Class 1 (LGV1, Cat C+E) Double Deck Night Trunk Driver

• A Full UK Driving Licence
• Must hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Experience with driving Double Deck HGV1 vehicles
• Must hold a DP World Card
