Job summary

Get Staff is actively recruiting for a General Haulage HGV Class 1 (LGV1, Cat C+E) Night Trunk Driver based in Bognor Regis. This temporary contact role offers a possible pathway to permanent employment, with weekly pay and flexible start times.

Your duties include operating HGV Class 1 vehicles across the UK, ensuring accurate paperwork and records, and complying with WTD regulations and safety standards. Night shifts start between 17:00 and 22:00, with immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with HGV1 entitlement.
• Max 6 penalty points on licence.
• Minimum 1 year HGV1 experience.
• Valid DP World Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph card.
• Good knowledge of UK motorway network and WTD regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 articulated vehicles for general haulage across the UK.
• Ensure all paperwork and electronic records are accurately completed and up to date.
• Maintain accurate records of breaks and working hours in line with Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations.
• Comply with all agency and client policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Take full responsibility for the quality of work, professionalism.
• Communicate effectively with customers, clients, and operations teams to ensure smooth deliveries and collections.
• Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and within required timeframes.
