Job summary

Get Staff is seeking a Night Trunk Driver in Portsmouth to operate HGV Class 1 vehicles for general haulage across the UK. You will ensure accurate paperwork and up-to-date electronic records, while maintaining WTD-compliant logs and professional conduct throughout the shift.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, a DP World Card, a Digital Tachograph card, and at least 1 year of HGV1 experience, with points within legal limits. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence required.
• DP World Card required.
• Digital Tachograph card required.
• Licence must have no more than 6 points.
• At least 1 year HGV1 experience required.
• Strong knowledge of UK motorway network and WTD regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 articulated vehicles for general haulage across the UK.
• Ensure all paperwork and electronic records are accurately completed.
• Maintain accurate records of breaks and working hours per WTD regulations.
• Comply with agency and client policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Take full responsibility for work quality and professionalism.
• Communicate effectively with customers and operations teams to ensure smooth deliveries.
• Complete all tasks efficiently and within required timeframes.
