Job summary

GET Staff in Portsmouth is seeking a Refrigeration HGV Class 1 Night Trunk Driver for a temporary contract. Operate temperature-controlled HGVs across the UK, with night shifts starting at 18:00 and weekly pay.

Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence, a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, a Digital Tachograph card, no more than 6 points, and at least 1 year of HGV1 experience; knowledge of WTD and UK road network required.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 articulated vehicles with Temperature Controlled cargo.
• Complete paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Maintain breaks/working hours records per WTD regulations.
• Comply with agency and client policies and safety standards.
• Communicate with customers and operations teams to ensure smooth deliveries and collections.

The Job- Refrigeration HGV Class 1 (LGV1, Cat C+E) Night Trunk Driver

• Operate HGV Class 1 articulated vehicles with Temperature Controlled vehicles across the UK.
• Ensure all paperwork and electronic records are accurately completed and up to date.
• Maintain accurate records of breaks and working hours in line with Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations.
• Comply with all agency and client policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Take full responsibility for the quality of work carried out, always ensuring professionalism.
• Communicate effectively with customers, clients, and operations teams to ensure smooth deliveries and collections.
• Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and within required timeframes.
