Job summary

FLETCH ELECTRICAL LTD in Leicester is recruiting a Street Lighting operative with HIAB experience to join our growing team. The successful candidate will carry out electrical installation and maintenance for street lighting assets.

Duties include installing and repairing street lights, illuminated signs and traffic bollards, plus traffic management, vehicle and plant operation, and MEWP tasks. Some unsociable hours and on-call work required.

Qualifications

• Street lighting or highways experience
• CPC entitlement or Category C driving licence
• HIAB operation certification
• Knowledge of road safety regulations for commercial driving
• Basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshooting
• G39 certification

Job description

We are recruiting for a Street Lighting operative with HIAB experience to join our growing team. The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for carrying out all aspect of electrical installation and maintenance works.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Carry out a variety of skilled tasks including the installation and repair of Street Lights, Illuminated Traffic Bollards and Illuminated Signs
• Traffic Management Operations
• Driving/operating vehicles/plant requiring both general and specialist skills
• Ability to undertake activities associated with light goods vehicles to include MEWP vehicles
• Other ad-hoc duties to fulfil the requirement of the role
• There will be a requirement to work some unsociable hours and overtime and to undertake emergency call out and standby when required

Experience and qualifications required:

• Street lighting or highways experience
• Category C driving licence with CPC entitlement or a drivers qualification card
• Certification in HIAB operation, demonstrating proficiency in crane handling and load management
• Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues
• G39 certification
