Job summary

Schenk UK, a national tanker haulage operator, is seeking an experienced Class 1 LGV Bitumen Driver for Ellesmere Port, on a Monday–Friday 50-hour week. The role offers a competitive pay package with generous overtime and fully paid breaks.

You will need an LGV Class 1 licence (≤6 points), tanker experience, tachograph card, Driver CPC, ADR (all classes except 1 & 7) and a strong understanding of Driver Transport Legislation. Safety focus is essential.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Class 1 LGV Bitumen Driver to join our team based at Ellesmere Port depot, working 50 hours across a Monday to Friday tramping shift pattern.

Pay Rates

• £19.50 per hour with 10 hour guarantee per shift

• £26.00 per hour overtime (applicable after 10 hours worked Monday-Friday)

• £26.00 per hour overtime for Saturday

• £32.50 per hour overtime for Sundays

• £32.50 per hour for worked hours on Bank Holidays (plus day in lieu)

• £34.00 per Night Out

• £4.15 meal payment per shift

FULLY PAID BREAKS and paid ADR & CPC Refreshers

Essential Requirements

• An LGV Class 1 licence with no more than six points

• Experience of delivering Bitumen

• A tachograph card

• A Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)

• A valid ADR licence all classes other than 1 & 7

• A strong understanding of Driver Transport Legislation

• A safety focus

• Minimum 2years Class 1 experience

• At least 2 years Tanker Experience

The Package

In addition, overtime is available, CPC training hours, courses and CPC accreditation and driver medicals are all paid for. Full PPE is provided.
