Job summary

DPD UK in Abergele is seeking a reliable LGV Driver to join our team, driving a modern fleet and keeping the country moving.

You’ll be a key player in our national transport operation, moving bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers. The role is a permanent 40‑hour contract with Monday to Friday shifts (13:45–01:45) and a competitive hourly rate with night premium. Safety, reliability, and customer‑facing professionalism are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (CE) licence, CPC card, and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience.
• Excellent knowledge of UK roads and routes.
• Safety-first mindset with ability to work under pressure.
• Reliable, motivated, and able to meet tight deadlines while delivering great service.

Responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries to DPD sites and customers.
• Manage trailer swaps and live loading/unloading to keep networks moving.
• Use GPS and tachographs to plan routes and stay compliant.
• Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers nationwide.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and uphold safety standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

Qualifications

What You Bring

• The License: Valid UK Class 1 (Category CE) Licence, CPC Card, and Digital Tachograph Card.
• The Experience: At least 12 months of experience handling Class 1 vehicles.
• The Skillset: Excellent geographical knowledge of UK roads and a "safety-first" mindset.
