Job summary

Turners (Soham) Ltd in Manchester is recruiting LGV Class 1 container drivers for our central depot. You will operate with care and professionalism, delivering containers and maintaining high service standards.

Candidates must hold an HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, Driver CPC and Tachograph card, and have good English communication. Flexible shifts with night or day work are available; all duties comply with WTD and tachograph rules.

Qualifications

• Full HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence is required.
• Driver CPC and Tachograph Card held.
• 35 hours CPC completed.
• Container experience preferred.
• Good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV Class 1 (Container) vehicles from Manchester depot.
• Ensure compliance with Tachograph and Working Time Directive.
• Occasional nights out may be required for day drivers.

Turners (Soham) Ltd is the UK’s largest privately owned transport Company. We are looking to recruit LGV Class 1 Container Drivers in Manchester depot. As a professional driver working for Turners Container Division, you will be required to demonstrate skill, professionalism and excellent customer service.Working for our container division you will develop close working relationships with your planning and training team, alongside other drivers and staff members in a close knit organisation that strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for all.Shifts are mainly Monday-Friday pattern, Night shifts and Day shifts available.The haulage industry is one of varying hours and timings, and will require potential candidates to be flexible in their approach to start and finish times. Shift lengths do vary but you will be expected to comply with the Tachograph & Working Time Directive regulations at all times.
